The Giclée Process

 The French term "giclée" is a feminine noun that means a spray or a spurt of liquid.  The word may have come from the French verb "glicer" which means "to squirt".

Giclée images are generated from high resolution digital scans and printed with archival quality inks onto various substances including canvas, fine art and photo- based paper.  The giclee process provides better color accuracy than any other means of reproduction.  Giclée images are known for color intensity, saturation, and brilliance combined with fine detailing and subtle shading.

The quality of the giclée print rivals traditonal silver halide and gelatin printing processes and is commonly found in the best musuems, and art galleries.
